Pine Medicine

Most parts of Pine Trees are edible, including the inside bark, not the outside.
My favorite thing to do is spend time in nature, the sun tells me about the clouds, the clouds speak intently about the trees, the trees laugh with me about the squirrels, the squirrels squeak about the cuts and cones, the cones roll by the flowers and listen to them sing about the bees. When i'm in nature, everything is a site to see, even if it's for the millionth time, i forage from places of multitude only, and thank nature as i depart her sacred essence.

I've always loved Pine trees, just something about the energy from them, representing longevity and wisdom, reminding me to simply stop and embrace life, by living it and not just embracing being alive. This sacred tree, helps heals infectious disease, colds, builds immunity, heals skin and tighten and firms sagging and aging skin, it works marvels on breast and other areas after a weight-loss or just typical age collagen loss. Antiviral, antitumor, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti microbial. Pine is used in our healing and in our community.
"Research on pine cone extract suggests that it: inhibits the growth of HIV in human T cells inhibits the growth of influenza inhibits the growth of the herpes simplex virus inhibits tumor activity suppress lymphoma – cancer that involves cells of the immune system boosting the immune system"

The spectacular thing, that it's interconnected with is our Pineal Gland, which is in the shape of a pine cone, thus its namesake is born. The pineal gland produces melatonin, a serotonin-derived hormone which modulates sleep patterns in both circadian and seasonal cycles. The known "his-tory" of the world, pine cones are the representation of Human Consciousness Enlightentment, The Third Eye, is representative of the Pineal Gland as well.

The thing that is amazing Conifer Pines Trees, have existed since three time longer than flowering species, making them the most sacred indigenous tree on the planet.

Medicinal Use of Pines

Pine Needles

The fresh needles and buds, picked in the springtime, are called “pine tops.” These are boiled in water, and the tea is consumed for fevers, coughs, and colds. The needles are also diuretic, helping to increase urination. Internally, pine is a traditional remedy for coughs, colds, allergies, and urinary tract and sinus infections. Topically, pine is used to address skin infections and to lessen joint inflammation in arthritic conditions.

Spiritual UsagePine needles create a powerfully protective smudge that can be used for healing, protection, fertility, cleaning, long life and prosperity. Light the smudge stick walk in a large circle, stopping at East, South, West and North to create a sacred space for magic within the circle. Purifying the air and creating harmony and balance, as it is antimicrobial, fungal, bacterial, and viral.
We typically do it for the 4 equinoxes, birthdays, certain moon phases, so pine plays a vital role in our homestead.
